A B O U T

The small town of Marusici is located on the famous Omis Riviera in Croatia. The turquoise blue water and the Borka beach, lined with white pebbles, are the hallmarks of Marusici. The small picturesque village is home to 203 locals.

 

The village, built on the slope, is divided into the lower and upper parts by the main road. Due to the hillside location, almost every accommodation has a fantastic view of the sea and the imposing Biokovo mountains that rise in the background. This scenery gives the village a unique panorama. In the old village there is a small church and a charming maze of alleys. All visitors who are looking for rest and relaxation will definitely feel at home.

 

There are a few restaurants and a small supermarket sells everything for daily use. The area offers a wide range of excursion destinations. Its proximity to the town of Omis, will also find sports and leisure enthusiasts an excellent deal.

Beaches

Directly below our resort on the stony coast, the small, green Lovrina Vala Bay extends under your feet on the slope. Enjoy the picturesque view from the apartment terrace on our beach.
The beach kajak is located at the entrance of Marusici and is a mostly rocky beach with small pebbles. For those seeking peace and quiet, it is an ideal beach to relax.
A lot of stairs and a footpath lead to the beautiful main beach called "Borka". There you will find crystal clear water, dreamlike pebble bays and some rock sections that invite you to swim and relax.

Sports and leisure activities

The area around Marusici is a paradise for sports and leisure enthusiasts. Above all, the Cetina valley in the hinterland of Omis offers numerous possibilities such as: rafting, zipline, golf, tennis, hiking in the Biokovo mountains, or just walking in and over Marusici.



 



Medical supplies
Marusici is a small coastal town that has no medical facilities. The closest medical practices and pharmacies can be found in Omis, 12 km away (or Brela, 8 km). There are other specialists and a hospital in the metropolis of Split.
Restaurants, Konobas & Cafes
The two restaurants "Galeb" and "Jurcevic" are located in Marusici. Many more restaurants and taverns can be found in the neighboring towns and of course in the coastal town of Omis. A good recommendation is the Konoba Kremenko, which is located above Marusici in the mountains.
Farmers Market
If you are looking for that original Balkan feeling, you will find it in the outback at the farmers' market in Zadvarje. About 10 km from the Adriatic coast between Omis and Makarska is the place Zadvarje on a karst plateau. On Tuesdays there is a traditional farmer's market in the otherwise sleepy town. At the moment, this insider tip is definitely not a tourist market.
Shops
In the small supermarket "Ivelma" (direction Makarska) you can get everything for your daily needs. There are other small shops in the neighboring towns of Mimice and Pisak or in Brela. The next larger supermarkets are in Omis and Makarska.
Banks, ATMs and Post Office
The nearest post office is in the neighboring town of Mimice. There are banks and ATMs in the town of Omis and in Brela.
Getting There
We recommend arriving on the A1 motorway via Zagreb through the interior of Croatia.

The distance to Split Airport is approximately 50 kilometers. There is a good connection by bus to Marusici.
